Profound History

It all started after a long tired work day in april 2012, time +- 2130hrs. I sat in front of my laptop and thought to myself....hmmmmm... what should I be reading tonite??? something light and easy, away from work...and it suddenly strike my mind...

It came to mind of a conversation I had with fellow watch enthusiast at work in the morning, about our watch collection. I was thinking hmmmm...something that has a history......Yes!!Yes!! what type of watches do astronauts wear in space! Instantly, my eyes and whole being suddenly light up.  Of course you will be saying...aiyo...omega speedmaster. Boring... yes, of course we all know this. Before NASA..before omega speedmaster came into the picture.

June 12, 1965, Cosmonaut Alexi Leonov wore a Strela watch to space

Vladimir Mikhaylovich Komarov, wore a Strela watch, non-luminous Cyrillic marked watch
or an early, white-dialed luminous piece.

Sekonda was worn by Aleksey Aleksandrovich Gubarev on the Sojus 28 mission in march 1978
